MARCH FOR LIFE
"The March for Life in Washington, D.C., began as a small demonstration and rapidly grew to be the largest pro-life event in the world. The peaceful demonstration that has followed on this somber anniversary every year since 1973 is a witness to the truth concerning the greatest human rights violation of our time, legalized abortion on demand." -www.marchforlife.org
YOUTH RALLY & MASS FOR LIFE
Thousands of teens, some young at heart adults, as well as a large group of religious sisters, brothers, seminarians, priests and bishops from all over the nation (and beyond!) gathered in the Verizon Center to praise God, celebrate an awe-inspiring mass, and show they stand together for LIFE.
To attend teens must:
1. Register online below.
2. Complete permission slip
3. Bring permission slip and bagged lunch with them on 1/24
Meet at Church - At 5:15am on Friday, January 24th we will gather in the parking lot at Mother Seton Parish.
Metro to DC - We will carpool to the metro to travel to Washington D.C. for the YOUTH RALLY & MASS FOR LIFE and the March for Life.
Arrive at Capital One Arena - We have tickets for the YOUTH RALLY & MASS. We will sit together and celebrate mass with thousands of young people gathered to honor LIFE.
Lunch and Head to the March - There are speakers on the Mall, but our group will use this time to eat lunch and take a break before the March. We will find a museum to hang out and keep warm in as we wait for the actual march to begin. This is when we eat lunch, you must bring your lunch since we will NOT be stopping anywhere to purchase lunch.
March for Life! - The streets of D.C. will be filled with people making their voices heard for Life. We will join those marching, chanting, waving signs, singing, and praying on the way to the Capitol building and the Supreme Court. What a powerful experience!
Back to the Metro - After we reach the end of the March, we will head to the Metro, and again carpool back to Mother Seton.
Our tickets for the Rally & Mass are limited. If you have any questions or are interested in helping carpool to the metro, contact Cathy McTighe: email@example.com
